{"id":7157,"date":"2014-04-05T16:33:00","date_gmt":"2014-04-05T14:33:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.nctmelarte.it\/?p=7157"},"modified":"2024-06-04T11:47:01","modified_gmt":"2024-06-04T09:47:01","slug":"adelita-husni-bey-agency-giochi-di-potere-maxxi-museo-nazionale-delle-arti-del-xxi-secolo-di-roma","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nctmelarte.it\/en\/adelita-husni-bey-agency-giochi-di-potere-maxxi-museo-nazionale-delle-arti-del-xxi-secolo-di-roma\/","title":{"rendered":"Adelita Husni-Bey, Agency- Games of Power, MAXXI Museo Nazionale delle Arti del XXI secolo, Rome"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>In 2014&nbsp;<em>nctm e l\u2019arte&nbsp;<\/em>contribution made possible&nbsp;Adelita Husni-Bey project&nbsp;<em>Agency \u2013&nbsp;Games of Power<\/em>&nbsp;at the MAXXI Museo Nazionale delle Arti del XXI secolo&nbsp;in Rome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>Since 2011 Adelita Husni-Bey has been researching, unearthing and  utilizing anarchic-collectivist pedagogical methodologies in her practice. <br><em>Agency \u2013&nbsp;Games of Power<\/em>, a video and photographic installation displaying the results of a collective exercise examining power relations in a model society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Agency \u2013&nbsp;Games of Power<\/em> was a simulation conducted in April 2014 at the Museo Nazionale delle Arti del XXI secolo&nbsp;in Rome. It was inspired by a citizenship class exercise originally developed in the United Kingdom. <br>Thirty-five volunteer students from Rome\u2019s Manara High School were asked to think through the relationships of dominance in contemporary Italy. The students were divided into five categories: journalists, politicians, workers, activists and bankers. The journalists were responsible for an hourly report on the advancement of the &#8220;society&#8221;, while the different categories responded to the scenarios by assigning each other &#8220;power-points&#8221;.
