nctm e l’arte presents a talk with Adelita Husni-Bey

The artist investigates issues related to power, hierarchy, emancipation and the role of education in the growth of the individual, using expressive tools such as drawing, installation, video and performance, and organising articulated and complex situations with the direct involvement of many protagonists.

The firm houses a group of works, among which is the video Agency – Power games.
Agency – Power games was launched as an exercise in social simulation, inspired by the pedagogic methods used in “citizenship study” classes in the UK,  where the power structures that characterize today’s society are staged. This leads to a series of reflections on the correlation between economic, social and cultural factors.

The work was realised with the support of nctm e l’arte at the MAXXI Museum of Rome on the occasion of the exhibition Utopia for Sale? A tribute to Allan Sekula, curated by Hou Hanru.
