Claudia Losi and Salvatore Arancio, talk

Claudia Losi and Salvatore Arancio will be guests at a talk organized by nctm e l’arte, during which the work Idol Rock, made by four hands, will be presented

Idol Rock refers to one of the Brimham Rocks in Hartwith, North Yorkshire: a mysterious monolith, apparently precarious, yet existing since the megalithic era, on which a constellation of lichens strongly grows. The work constitutes a reflection on the need to maintain a respectful relationship with the landscape and the environment and an invitation to consider the different dimensions of a time that is not only human, but can be, for example, geological. Intrinsic to the work is also a sense of natural growth, of future.

The work is an example of the sharp look and of the impulse of change inherent in artistic creation and so necessary to the mankind for the purposes of a sustainable transformation of the planet.
